So I have to say that Danny is STUPENDOUS. First, it is a great adjective and it happens to rhyme with 10 which is a bonus.
On his 10th birthday, Danny received his Bear badge at his scout troop's Blue & Gold Dinner. He also requested his favourite dinner which is apparently steak, macaroni and cheese, and apples and Italian soda.
Stupendously delicious.
Danny requested as gifts a case of Jones Cream Soda and some cash-ola. Which I'm sure will be spent on a stupendous purchase.
He got phone calls from family far, far away who love him stupendously and sing nearly as well!
Perhaps the best gift of all was the tour he got of our good friend's manufacturing plant. Ted Melsheimer gave Danny a tour of Mustang Manufacturing. They make these tools that squeeze oil pipe lines of various sizes without breaking them. The tour was amazing, but to top it off, Ted had found for Danny a slide rule - just like the one he has always used - a math tool of a better era, because he heard that Danny was something of a stupendous mathematician.
But what I really want to say is that Danny is the very definition of stupendous. He is awesome and marvelous. He is kind and good. He is hard-working and fun. He is a good brother and a good son.
And I am stupendously lucky to be his mom.
